1) A discovery from last night - it is difficult to make unbroken pancakes after half a bottle of champagne. I can make pancakes but they tend to get a bit mangled.

2) There is still time to enter the draw for a free copy of The Scroll Thief on my website - I haven't picked a winner yet, so come and have a go.

3) Romance Divas is having a wonderful workshop which starts today.

From the Call to the Bookstore

February 25th-26th at Romance Divas

Featuring:

KRISTAN HIGGINS

Want to know what it takes to get from “the call” to the bookstore in New York publishing? Romance Divas is hosting a 2-day workshop with RITA award winning author Kristan Higgins, who can answer that question and many more! It will take place at the Romance Diva Forum. All are welcome. To get access to the forum you will need to register.
Come, join the mayhem.

4) My hand is much improved but is still half red, with a lovely white band on my finger where my wedding ring was!

5) Battlestar Gallactica was good last night. (Yes, I'm rambling now).

6) I think I'm about to start another novel. The plot bunnies have been at me again. There's just no hope anymore.
So excited. Can hardly type!

But that's only to be expected when your first novel comes out, isn't it?

Out Today.

Love is the wiliest thief of all.

A Tale of Ithian

Malachy and his sister rely on his talents as a thief to survive the dangerous streets of Klathport, former capital of the once-great kingdom of Ithian. Stealing a few papers should have been a simple job. Instead, it nearly costs their lives and throws them into an improbable alliance with a shape-shifting official, a desert tribeswoman, and a healer of enchanting beauty.

Cerys is far more than a simple healer—and the roots of her mission go deeper into the past than anyone can know. She needs Malachy’s skills to recover a stolen scroll, one that can be used to rewrite history and, in the wrong hands, release the dark powers of the Demon Realm.

Her mission was supposed to atone for a dreadful, long-ago act. Instead, it unleashes a chain of events which sees them pursued through city and desert by the fearsome Dune Witch and a killer known only as His Lordship. Romance, tragedy, and adventure blend in a tale of a magical land on the brink of war, and five unlikely allies who, by putting their lives—and their hearts—on the line, have the opportunity to finally set things right.

But at a terrible cost.

Warning: Contains scenes of graphic violence and torture, captivating magic and beauty, two dashing heroes, three gutsy heroines, several love stories and a heartbreaking sacrifice.

rflong: (The Wolf's Sister)
( Feb. 14th, 2009 08:11 am)
OKay, so we didn't go last night, we're going this morning. But I had to tell you about the Samhellion swag hunt happening NOW until the 15th of February because otherwise it would have been too late!

"The mission is simple, go to the author websites below and search for the missing gifts. Each gift is an icon that will say, Samhellion Swag Hunt. Once you locate the gift, come back here and enter the item (jewelry, candy, etc) not the URL - for each author then click submit.

You're now entered into a drawing to win a free ebook! For each participating author, we will draw one prize so if you have nine authors on your list then you have nine chances to win! All winners will be announced on the Samhellion Blog.

Rules

One entry per household - You must be 18 to enter - Void where prohibited by law.

Hunt #3 - Ends February 15 @ 8 AM, EST"

Some really great books are available, romance (both sweet and steamy - maybe don't do this in work!), paranormal and fantasy.

And one of the prizes is The Wolf's Sister.
