I just sent out some queries for To Regain Heaven this morning. I may have to go and shiver in a corner for some time now.

You know when you say you really should sub something. Then you do and the reality of the situation dawns... You've actually gone and put it out there!!! I have a couple of my dream agents on the list. Hey, I'm aiming at the top.

*hyperventilates into paper bag!*

Anybody else have this sort of reaction to the query/submission process?

I am now going to make a cup of tea and sit down in a quiet corner.

And shiver.

Yup. I like sending things out, makes me feel all productive, but I do dread opening those emails.

Good luck with it.

Wish I could share a cup with you. I'm having Chai-tea. Good luck and keep us posted.

We can pass that paper bag back and forth...I'm agent hunting with my latest as well. *pant, pant* Scary stuff.

Tea. That's a good idea. So is working on my next novel...

*hands over paper bag*

Working on my next novel is also a good idea.

So is tea. :D

Can I have the bag back now Debbie?

Well i said it over on the diva's but i'll say it here too. *HUGS* and good luck. I can't imagine how scary that is - probably 100 times worse than handing in work to a lecturer you don't like lol.

I think you have to have some success to get nervous. As I have never had anything even commented on in a rejection [just form letters], it doesn't really phase me to put things out there. I expect the form letter, nothing more, so it is just a turn around process for me, no hope at all ^_^. Now, if I did have some success, then my belief level might rise, and then I could use that bag!

Haven't got around to the big submission process yet, and I'm already racked by anguish--so don't worry. You're definitely not alone there.
Good luck! (and it never hurts to reach as high as you can).

Thanks a million. I know you're getting ready to do the same thing.
