Yay!

We now have a fence between ourselves and our neighbours. Don't get me wrong. They are lovely people, but there are only so many apologies you can make for your 5 year old invading their house at every conceivable opportunity, and it does make our garden look more like... well, our garden

There is still one panel to fix in place , but the worst is over. Pat has gone to buy a piece of 2x1 (or something equally esoteric) while our daughter sleeps and our son rampages around the house because he is have some time off TV.

This may not last too long. My will power is slipping. I think only my stubborness is clinging on to the idea now. It galls me though. It is an utterly beautiful day outside and instead of playing the garden he wants to watch The Incredibles. Mind you, here I am at the computer!

It's largely my own fault.

I finished typing the first draft of Chapter 12 this morning, about 2500 ish words (cant remember the exact count) and it has taken the story to a pivotal point. I am pleased about the way it is going, although I do worry about keeping up momentum. I just have to make myself write more every day. It is the only thing that seems to work.

Other than that - roasted a chicken for lunch. We have all eaten well. We are going to see Pirates 3 tonight which I am really looking forward to. My best friend is going to babysit. I'm really looking forward to it and plan to hog a whole Large Popcorn to myself (if I can get away with it!!!)
