I'm sitting at home listening to the sound of the Backyardigans on one side (loudly) and the sound of Pat digging up the old fence post so we can put down the new ones on the other. It is a gloriously sunny day so ideally the kids should be outside too, but with spades, crowbars, trowels and various other deadly looking objects designed either for excavation or mass murder its probably safer to let them turn into couch potatoes. It is not 11.30 so we've only been at it for an hour or so, but I suspect it is going to be a LONG day!

I cleared the beds on the other side of the garden where we will eventually build a barbecue and the area I want to turn into a herb garden. I have left a small patch of the tall reed like plants (oh, you can tell I'm a gardener at heart!) because I think the cat will be broken hearted if I removed them all.

Speaking of the cat (Atlantis), I thought I'd post a pic of him too.

Entitled, The Great Beast stalks his prey... (in this case it was a sock!)

He is a rehomed cat from the DSPCA and we've had him nearly 2 months. He is under a year old, daft as a brush and very loving. A great addition to the family.

Anyway, that's it for now. I have to cook lunch for the many hungry mouths, including my own.

Oh! Should have added, on a more serious note, I typed up another 1500 words of Moy Tura Echoes this morning - despite the complaints of my son who wanted the computer!

(And now Lazytown is on. What a relief!)
