Not that I've gone insane and am trying to single-handedly reverse the recession or anything but I bought something else today which I wub and want to share. It is

The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Mythology

It's a fab Look-it-up-quick reference book, nicely illustrated and the shelves will not collapse under the weight of it. Divided into sections (Greece & Rome, Celtic World, Nordic Lands, Egypt and West Asia, South and Central Asia, East Asia - sadly no native American, African or Aboriginal legends - but a good over view of the classics) each section is alphabetised and cross referenced.

Plus it was only a fiver from the book club people at work. I also got books for the kids - a book of fairy stencils for herself, and Ripley's Believe it or not Search for the Shrunken Heads for him.

No, honestly. It's for him. Not me. I'm hardly looking at it at all. Much. :)
