6 Things!

I did this and ruddy IE crashed on me before I could post it!!!! Grrr....

Obviously version one was really interesting, witty and astounding. You have to make do with version 2 which is written in a snot because of IE. Blame windows!

1. The first thing I ever wrote was about seven sisters who were the Pliedes (I cannot and never could spell it). I can't remember what age I was, probably about 9, maybe younger. I wrote it in copy books which I selotaped together and I decorated the cover with markers and sequins. It was very pretty (but largely crap!) One of my friends read it. She liked it but we lost touch when she changed school. In 2000 she published her first novel. I sulked.

2. I sing and play the saxaphone, though not at the same time. I would be better on the saxaophone if I ever practiced, or indeed, knew where I put it when we moved house a year and a half ago.

3. I played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz twice.

4. I have a really bad memory. Mainly thanks to my kids and lack of sleep. This accounts for this entry more than you might think.

5.I worked as a computer programmer and database designer for 8 years. Then I ran away, back to the safety of libraries as fast as my little legs would carry me.

6. erm... My best friend's nickname is Erm. I fished her out of a lake.

OOO you play the sax! that is hard! I tried to learn it, but I ended up playing trumpet instead because I really couldn't grasp the whole reed thing.

I have a small ridge inside my lover lip from my teeth pressing against my lip and the reed. Hurt like hell when I was first learning.

I used to unpack the sax and start putting it together and my parent's cats and dog would all run out of the house the moment they saw it!
